COMPONENT LIBRARY
-
We used the same colors from the Outdoor Voices home page for consistent brand tone
-
We tried our best to match Outdoor Voices mix use of Serif and Sans Serif fonts
-
We used creative freedom to add a slide to symbolize what “playgrounds” are available
-
Knowing we wanted to maintain a fun casual design language, the buttons are inspired by a candy shop retro aesthetic
-
We really loved Outdoor Voices using warm/cold colors together so we did just that + used their slogan as the name itself for our “Subsidiary” product

what i learned
Consideration of team members
With Tanya, we both created a structured design process on a document for organization and ease for each other. A huge reason why we collaborated so well together was because we were empathetic to one another by splitting the tasks evenly ensuring we equally partake in the work we enjoy.
Better research, better design
Using Typeform’s point system gave an extra boost of confidence in making sure we pick the right candidates to interview in our pool of screener survey responses.
Feedback is everything
User testing! User testing! And… User testing! From now on, if I can find the time to user test prototypes - I best believe to take that opportunity. Only with their feedback, I created a product I am happy with.
